Appointments
Emergencies
If someone is seriously ill, for example with chest pains, severe bleeding, serious difficulty in breathing, or has collapsed then you should dial 999 as you would normally expect to do.
In an emergency, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance. If you can, give some details about the person who is injured or ill. In the meantime:
- Don’t put yourself in danger
- Do everything you can to help the person
- Don’t give the person anything to eat, drink or smoke
- Follow any instructions that the ambulance service call handler may give you
The 111 Service will advise you as to the best course of action.
