There is access for disabled patients and also facilities for ambulances attendance across all sites.
A hearing loop is available in reception.
We offer a private room for breastfeeding
If any assistance is required, please make the receptionists aware. Guide dogs are welcome at the surgery.
If you would like a chaperone present at your consultation, please inform the reception when you book in or the doctor/nurse.
We can arrange an interpreter for you during your appointment, please inform reception when you book your appointment. This may not always be possible for urgent appointments.
Aurora Medcare is involved in teaching medical and nursing students who attend the surgery in order for them to gain experience in all aspects of general practice. A GP or nurse will always supervise these students. If you would like to see the practitioner alone, please advise staff prior to your appointment.
You can register for ONLINE SERVICES where you can view your medical record, order prescriptions, book appointments online. Please ask reception for a registration form. You have the right to access your records whenever you choose by contacting the manager. We will provide copies of test results FREE.
We have our own patient group at the practice who help shape and change the way we offer our services etc. If you wish to be a part of our group, please leave your name and number with reception.
Our practice is participating in the NHS national programme for IT. We share summary of your vital clinical information ie. Medication, Allergies and Adverse reactions to drugs, with the NHS Emergency Care Providers like A&E, Out of Hours GP and walk–in Centres. This is to ensure that our patients receive safer and quality care during urgent or emergency situations.

We provide a confidential service to all our patients, including under 16 years old.
This means that you can tell others about the visit, but we won’t.
The only reason why we might have to consider passing on confidential information without your permission, would be to protect you or someone else from very serious harm.
We would always try to discuss this with you first.
If you are being treated elsewhere, for example at a hospital or another clinic, it is best if you allow the doctor or nurse there to inform the practice of any treatment you are receiving.
